More Information on Online Yoga
Use a room that you can occupy by yourself
Ideally, dim lighting is best, maybe opt for a lamp instead of your ceiling light if possible.
If you would like to play background music, bring a separate device other than the screen you are using for the Zoom class.
Please Bring
✓ A blanket
✓ A yoga mat or a rug/carpet to lay on
✓ A bolster or two thick sleeping pillows
✓ 2 yoga blocks or 2 cushions
✓ You can wear wireless headphones or ear pods to cancel out the sounds of your surrounds
What to wear
Comfortable clothing, trackies, leggings or even pyjamas.
This is about relaxation.
How to get to class
You will need a computer with access to the internet
Click on the Zoom link provided (If you don't have the Zoom app) don't worry, you can use it via the website.
Now enter the Password "YOGA"
You can choose to enter the Zoom meeting with video on or off. (This can be altered at any time)
Make sure you log on 5 minutes before the start time to avoid any disruptions
Once the class starts you can "PIN" my video to your screen so you can see me clearly
To avoid disruption to the class, you can use the CHAT section to type a message to me.
End of Class
At the end of class, I will guide you into a "lying down pose" where you will be encouraged to keep warm with your blanket.
You might even like to do this pose in bed if you are hoping to go straight to sleep.
Once our class is finished, I will end the Zoom meeting, so that you can stay in a relaxed state or perhaps drift off to sleep.
After our class
If you are not going straight to bed, I recommend these things below to complement your yoga practice and keep your nervous system relaxed.
✓ Avoid Technology
✓ Keep your room/house dimly lit
✓ Drink some herbal nighttime tea
✓ Move around slowly
✓ Don't check your emails
write down some things that you are grateful for today
